APNEA

“Apnea” is a journey into my mind during a panic attack, a journey into the abyss of the psyche in a situation of great discomfort.
The project was born with the need to want to tell this suffering and lay it bare in front of myself. It was a bit like looking inside, deeply, and getting lost. For this reason I chose to photograph underwater, to lose control, to let myself be carried away only by the flow of that excruciating emotion. The series alternates  images of strong chaos and movement with suspended, immobile images, to represent precisely that shapeless motion typical of a panic attack.
